What are devotions?
Journaling is an excellent way to hear the voice of God speak into your life. Writing it down helps us to remember what God has blessed us with, as well as the lifelong lessons He wants to deposit into our hearts. Our prayer is that you will allocate some time to spend with the Creator of the universe, and allow Him to mold you into the person He created you to be!
What does "SaLT" stand for and how do I use it?
Speak to me:
Open your Bible to the reading found under today's date of your Bible bookmark. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, and write it in your journal. Ask the Holy Spirit to inspire you as you read.
Action:
What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what He wants you to do because of what you've read.
Learn:
Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, revelation of a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. What did you learn and what are your next steps?
Talk with God:
This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say! Now, write it out.

Today's Devotion: "Fertile Soil"
S
"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved."
Luke 8:11-12 NIV

Do not let the Devil take away the Word You have deposited in my heart.
L
It is possible to hear Your word, let it sink into my heart, and the devil can still come and take it away due to the condition of my heart. My heart must remain fertile soul. I must stay moldable and humble so Your word can accomplish what You want it to.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word. May I never forget how incredibly important and valuable Your word is in my life. I do not want the devil to take away what You have sown in my heart. I repent from developing any kind of hardened heart. Soften my heart so that Your Word can produce fruit in my life.
I LOVE YOU LORD. AMEN!
