"Overcoming Evil"

There is so much evil in the world that it would almost seem like, what's the use being a Christian. Why believe in God? There is more to life than what we see. So much more we have not seen yet in what God is doing. God will do away with evil once and for all one day. Until then, how do we overcome evil?
